Antwaun Thompson, “Coach T” has over 30 years of basketball coaching, teaching and mentoring, on several levels, elementary (Falling Creek Athletic Association), middle school (Falling Creek Athletic Association), high school (Meadowbrook HS) , AAU (Richmond Metro) and college (Randolph College). He has been the Head JV and Varsity Boys coach at Salisbury Academy for the past eight years. He also brings over 20 years of business experience, managing in the private sector.
His devotion to help young people grow as athletes and individuals has been a driving force behind starting JLT Fieldhouse, Inc. “Young people need to know that there are those who care about their growth as people, more so than their growth as a basketball player”.
One of the highlights of Coach T’s career was getting to meet his coaching idol Dean Smith, while serving as a counselor at the UNC basketball camp in the summer of 1992. He also had the pleasure coaching the grandson of Dean E. Smith a few years ago
Haden Lewis Thompson, nephew of Coach T and grandson of the late Sgt. Major Joe Lewis Thompson, assist as his schedule allows. He graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va. Haden is a dedicated young man that loves this game and it is an absolute pleasure to have him be a part of this awesome journey! He is now the Coordinator of TIcket Operations at the University of Arizona. He is still very much a part of JLT Fieldhouse, Inc.
Coach Bo played for Coach T at Meadowbrook High School, and ironically played against him as well when he was 12 years old. Coach Bo has been coaching AAU basketball in Phenix City, Alabama for the past several years. He has coached several championship teams during his tenure there. He has a special gift of caring about the development of the person, just as much as the development of the player, which makes him a perfect, fit for JLT Fieldhouse. Our goal is to make him a permanent member of our team as we continue to grow! So proud of his accomplishments and honored to reunite with him for such a great journey!
