Malcolm “Bo” Meriwether
Assistant Coach
Malcolm “Bo” Meriwether holds a special place in the JLT Fieldhouse family, as our history together goes back nearly 35 years. Bo was not only a standout player for me at Meadowbrook High School but also a competitor on the Richmond Metro AAU 14U team, ironically, we faced off when he was just 12 years old as part of the Chesterfield County Youth Basketball program. He was unstoppable to coach against, so I was beyond thrilled to have him on my team giving the other coaches headaches!
Since those early days, Bo has continued to shine as both a player and a coach. For the past several years, he’s been leading AAU basketball teams in Phenix City, Alabama, coaching multiple championship-winning squads. His success on the court is matched only by his exceptional ability to care for the development of his players as individuals. Bo’s commitment to nurturing character, not just talent, is what makes him such a perfect fit for the mission of JLT Fieldhouse.
Reuniting with Bo for this journey is both an honor and a privilege. I couldn’t be prouder of his accomplishments or more excited to have him join us as we grow and expand our impact. Our goal is to make Bo a permanent part of the JLT Fieldhouse team—because people like him are what make this work so rewarding.
“Bo’s heart for the game and his players reminds us all why we do what we do. Having him back on this journey feels like a full-circle moment, and I’m grateful to have him by my side once again.”
